Stoked to be.6月15日 New prospects Hi everyone! I haven't updated this blog thing for a while now.. Just thought I should say that my placement is going well. I have been working at the Conservatoire du Littoral since march and until the end of july. Just came bacl from a trip to Scotland that lasted three days during which I got to meet and discuss with the ISLA partners from various parts of Europe. Looks like I may have found a job which is always good, it will potentially start in November, after I work 3 more months in St. Brieuc at the Conservatoire. Will be in charge of an archipelago called the Glénan (south brittany), and aiming at instoring a chart of good conduct for the environmental practices of the sailing school, and later, for all visitors such as yachtsmen, fishermen, etc... Sounds interesting, and will probably allow me to stay by the sea and carry on surfing whenever I want, which remains my PRIORITY.
Also can't wait to go to Galicia again in august, wind off and charge everydayin various sports. Gotta have grown scales by the end of the trip! Hopefully I'll get to take lots of photos cos its an incredibly beautiful place riddled with hollow peeling jewels... Well thats about it take care you who is reading this!

Laters....! 2月8日 Out of the water for a week Hey all! The series started sunday with a slight hand injury cos got wiped out in tube and my board hit me hard, thats better now but i cut my foot with a fin yesterday and souldn't go in the water for a week, what a bummer! Don't know if I'll manage to respect that... Anyway, quite a festive week-end coming up so I'll keep myself busy while the wound is healing up... Also I will be in BArcelona and then Minorca from the 18th to the 28th of feb so thats pretty cool...! Its a small entry but I can't be bothered 2月3日 Late night "surfing" Hi all!
Been a while! It's pretty late and I can't be bothered to go to bed so I'm moseying around on the net here. Not resonnable, especially since tomorrow has big surfing potential! So, what's going on here? Lots of work, I've never worked so hard at uni actually... It comes as quite a shock! Its paradoxal that I haven't had any lectures since Xmas... We are leaving on the 18th of feb to Menorca and Barcelona for ten days with my MSc class, paied for by us, that's why we are working so hard at the moment! Got a couple of contracts on here for the management of natural areas. The in march I'm off to NorthEast brittany for a placement that will last 4-5months so as to validate my degree. Then, a few months holidays here in France and a surftrip to Galicia again in august.. I haven't skated since september  which sucks but the surfing is so much better anyway! Alrighty take care everyone! I'll keep on adding photos whenever I have new ones...11月27日 November ends...27/11/2006 We're now settling into the winter routine here at 48° lat.
seasons starting out exceptionally well, who could have forecasted three weeks of big swell uninterrupted?
Brittany is really coming into its own, plenty of spots and an interestingly rich mysticism concerning the secret reefs of the North coast.. of course when you and 3 friends are the only ones surfing light offshore when the rest of the region is under gale force onshores you can guess the value of keeping the secret! Anyway, hopefully I'll get to meet Ben in Switzerland over New Year's. MSc going ok, lots of work and a little stress, nothing too serious but as wave-hungry as ever! take care all, write me occasionally! this is my first attempt at starting a blog we'll see if anyone sees it... |
